Home Remedies for Beautiful Skin

First and foremost it is important to stress that the most important factor in the appearance of the skin is the overall health of the body. All of us would like to keep our skin soft, smooth, and without wrinkles all our life. Although there are several things we can do to achieve this goal we must not forget that living a healthy life is the best ingredient of all.
One of the best allies to maintain beautiful skin, is milk. The milk has properties that produce collagen which reaffirms and makes the skin more flexible. The lactose softens and moisturizes the skin, and milk fat regenerates the skin. Cleopatra, queen of Egypt, never forgot her milk baths. You can do it too!

Milk bath: Fill the bathtub with hot water. Make 4 or 5 liters of milk using powdered milk and add them to the tub. Stay in the water for 20 minutes and rinse with warm water.
To recover from a bad night sleep: Blend one beet cut into pieces and 1/4 cup milk. Apply on the face for half an hour minimum (the longer you can leave it on the better). Rinse with warm water.

Natural and Homemade Creams for Skin Care:

Aloe and lemon cleansing cream: Blend 15g of aloe vera gel and the juice of 2 lemons. Strain several times. Apply in the morning for half an hour. Wash your face with cold water.
Aloe, collagen, and jojoba cream: Blend some aloe vera gel and add an equal amount of concentrated chicken broth (made by boiling several chicken legs in water) so that it makes a jelly-like cream. Add 5g of jojoba oil and stir well. Apply.
Protection from the sun: Put equal parts of apple cider vinegar and olive oil in a jar and shake well. Apply before sun exposure.
Skin lightener cream: Take two egg whites and add fresh lemon juice to them. Whisk until it is creamy and apply before going to bed. Never expose the skin to the sun after having used lemon as an ingredient in any creams as it can cause skin blemishes.
Nutritious lotion: Put equal parts of pink wine and boiled milk, and add 15 g of ground almonds to the mixture. Let stand all night and strain the next day. Apply morning and night.
Tonic for soft skin: In a glass of water put the juice of a lemon and some parsley sprigs and let it stand overnight. The next morning apply to face with a cotton swab. Do not expose skin to sunlight after treatment.
Porcelain face: Add a cup of water to half a cup of rice. Let stand uncovered overnight. The next day, blend it. Apply with a cotton swab once or twice a day. Keep refrigerated.
To close dilated pores: Combine the juice of one orange with a third of rose water. Apply.

Nutrients for skin and hands:

Lavender gel: 2 tablespoons lavender flowers, 2 tablespoons of chamomile flowers, 2 tablespoons of sweet almond oil, 300 grams of Vaseline. Put the Vaseline with the flowers and the oil in a glass container and place it upright in a pot of hot water over low heat (make sure the water does not enter the container) for one hour. Stir every 10 minutes. Strain and store in a tightly closed jar. Let it cool. Apply when it turned into a gel.
Cracked hands: 300ml mineral water, 2 roses, glycerine. Put the roses’ petals in a container with the mineral water and cover. Shake and let stand for 48 hours. Then strain and add the glycerine. Stir well and store. Apply to the hands before bedtime.
Dry hands: 1 potato, 1 or 2 tablespoons of olive oil, 2 tablespoons of milk, 2 tablespoons of honey. Cook the potato and peel it. Puree and add milk, honey and oil. Make it like a cream and apply two or three times a week.
